a.punkt architekten – Relaunch in 2022

Today we would like to present you our latest website, which we have been implemented for our client a.punkt architekten. It was created in collaboration with Andy Brunner and Daniel Gall // San2. The website is available since the launch party on 16.12.2022 under apunkt-architekten.de.

Valuable magazine character on any device

San2 worked closely with the client to develop a design that puts the photographs in the foreground and is thus reminiscent of a high-quality print magazine – a perfect fit for a.punkt to showcase its completed architectural projects and modern plannings. To ensure that this content is also displayed in a meaningful way on smartphones, we converted the design to a responsive layout. In doing so, important content moves below one another and can be viewed comfortably thanks to the natural vertical scrolling movement.

Quality in every situation

One challenge was to load and display the images in a performant manner at all times – while not limiting the high quality of the photographs. As preliminary work, all images were optimized for websites, compressed accordingly and stored on our web server. Thus, we were able to visibly reduce the file sizes in advance. When visiting the website, the images are displayed to the website visitor in the appropriate resolution with the help of an image framework – i.e. differently for mobile and desktop users. Thus, we have kept our Simpel Web promise that each of our web solutions is fast. This is not only a subjective feeling, also the Google Lightning Score proves us right.

It’s all in the technology

The new website apunkt-architekten.de was of course a very individual software project for us. Many of the components we use on our own site simpel-web.de and also in many customer projects were not necessary here. Instead, we programmed every functionality into the source code ourselves. However, we were still able to use our modern and robust architecture. We have successfully implemented our vision “Simpel Web” here as well.
